On Thursday, 12 February 2026, we had the privilege of hosting our annual Chinese New Year Luncheon at the Hollandse Club in Singapore — an afternoon defined by meaningful connection, insightful dialogue, and the shared optimism of a new year.
The Year of the Horse carries with it a spirit of energy, resilience, and forward momentum — qualities that felt deeply present throughout the afternoon. From the opening conversations over welcome drinks to the final exchanges over dessert, the room was alive with the kind of purposeful engagement that defines this community.

From 10:30 AM through to 2:30 PM, the Hollandse Club provided a warm and elegant backdrop for a programme that balanced celebration with substance. Conversations flowed freely across tables, partnerships were renewed, and new connections were forged in the spirit of mutual growth.

Ken's session challenged the audience to fundamentally reconsider the assumptions that underpin modern cybersecurity practice. Drawing from direct experience across more than 300 enterprises, he made a compelling case that the industry's reliance on reactive, detection-based models leaves organisations perpetually one step behind an evolving threat landscape.

TG delivered a practical and timely session addressing one of the most common — and most overlooked — challenges facing growing organisations: the quiet emergence of an IT ownership gap. As companies scale, processes that once worked well are outgrown without anyone noticing, leaving endpoints, security responsibilities, and support structures without clear ownership.
The consequences, TG argued, are rarely dramatic at first. But left unaddressed, these gaps compound into business risk, inconsistent governance, and avoidable long-term costs. His framework offered a clear path forward.
