SAP Business One and SAP HANA for SMEs

The Situation/Problem

The client, a premier solution provider for SAP Business One that provides consultancy, project management and implementation for ERP systems.

Many of their customers are using SAP Business One on premise with Microsoft SQL server runtime license and in some cases these customers’ hardware needed to be replaced.

Additionally, because of the new features in SAP Business One that require SAP HANA, the hosting cost will be costly for on-premise implementation not only for the hardware investment but the skillset as well. Hosting on the public cloud can also be cost prohibitive.

The Solution

iWV investigated the problem and designed and implemented a fully managed SAP HANA virtualized solution.

Each customer to have their own SAP HANA instance
Utilizing iWV cloud platform for Remote Desktop Services and additional SAP applications to be deployed when required
Remote access to the applications to be provided via a VPN client or in some cases a VPN tunnel connected to the client’s office firewall which allows seamless and secure access to the business ERP applications

The client can focus on the ERP applications and not both the infrastructure and applications. They have a peace of mind given that the solution is fully managed, secured and backed up by iWV support staff while providing their end customer with the new SAP Business One features.
